Robert Murray premiered Brandon Dicks' Peri Sketches for unaccompanied solo trumpet at the International Trumpet Guild 2019 New Works Recital in New York.

💡 Peri Sketches is the third movement of Fanfare Transformations, a three-movement suite for unaccompanied trumpet that explores transformations of famous fanfare themes.

The Commission

Dr. Murray commissioned Fanfare Transformations in 2014 when he was Brandon's undergraduate trumpet professor at Columbus State University. Since the commission, Murray has championed the work extensively, performing it throughout the country at International Trumpet Guild conferences and other major venues. He also recorded the complete suite for commercial release.
