The Trumpeter’s Multi-Track Competition
The Trumpeter’s Multi-Track Competition (TMTC) is a new competition and accompanying seminar designed to not only facilitate excellence in terms of producing and designing multi-track recordings, but to also teach and promote creators who want to pioneer the art. Our goal is to encourage the trumpet community to develop their creativity through video creation, which we believe will be an integral part of many future careers in the music field. With this, we have decided to create a competition to give a specific purpose to push their artistry to a whole new level. TMTC is also dedicated to the education of video creation and multi-tracking. As a result, we created a seven class seminar to teach trumpeters how to effectively audio record, video record, and professionally edit their creations. This competition and seminar is designed to enhance all trumpeters abilities to promote their craft in new and unique ways through video production.
In our first year, we were able to showcase nine finalist in our Solo Producer Division, as well as four finalist in our Ensemble Division. The winner (or in this case winners from our tie in the past season) received a brand new Barkley Infinite Ribbon Microphone as well as a cash prize of $400. We also has a staggering turn out for our online seminar. This competition and seminar was produced by Brandon Dicks, David ‘Cookie’ Koch, and Marcus Grant.
