Long Description
Eternal Father, Strong to Save' is best known for being the US Naval Hymn. The vivid text of 'the restless waves' and 'foaming deep' represent a rough and unforgiving ocean. However, God, in his many forms of the holy trinity, is showcased as the one who controls and protects those in the 'mighty ocean deep'.
This arrangement was originally written for a funeral of a naval soldier. While it is also appropriate to showcase this hymn in a Memorial Day or Veteran's Day Service, the hymn does not have to exclusively be dedicated to military recognitions (although the significations should be noted). The arrangement would work great as an inclusion to a specialty recital showcasing a brass quintets’ ability to express slow music.
Parts include Bb Trumpet parts. C Parts can be included upon request. (Just reach out to Brandon through the contact page.)
