The Marriage of Figaro | for Symphonic Brass Ensemble

dur. ca. 4 minutes

Features Two Versions:
Version in D
Version in Bb

Program Notes:

This arrangement of the famous Overture to 'Marriage of Figaro' takes from the original manuscript and translates it for Brass Ensemble. All of the original counterpoint and gestures are featured. However, alterations have been made to effectively perform this challenging work for Brass. This is a great addition to a beginning of a concert featuring the brass section of an orchestra.

Performance Notes

- The following notation can either be performed as constant Quarter Notes or constant Eighth Notes.

- Ensemble members are allowed to lower the higher ranged passages down an octave if the higher passages are too difficult, or there are endurance issues.

- The orchestration of the work has been altered to best-fit brass. Melody lines are in different voices than the original to showcase all of the instruments.
